Buying Advice
Choose this cotton construction when the stated fibre content suits the role. Compare it with polyester-rich options when faster drying or different care characteristics are needed.
260 GSM is the manufacturer-stated fabric weight. Compare it with lighter or heavier garments according to climate, layering and role requirements rather than treating weight alone as a quality rating.
For corporate roles, prioritise presentation and branding placement. For industrial roles, confirm every required safety or compliance specification separately before issue.
Workplace Scenarios
- Branded event merchandise
- Staff accessory issue
- Campaign, conference and promotional ordering
Branding Advice
Common branding positions to assess include front, side or rear panel where the construction allows. Final embroidery or print placement must be confirmed against the exact garment, colour, seams and artwork.
Use sufficient contrast between the logo and garment colour. Fine detail, small lettering and large print areas should be reviewed before production.
The appropriate decoration method depends on the supplied fabric and construction; approval of artwork and placement is required before bulk production.
Care & Longevity
No commercial-laundering claim is supplied. Follow the sewn-in care label and do not assume industrial wash suitability.
To maximise service life, use the stated care method, close fastenings before washing where relevant, remove garments promptly after the cycle and avoid treatments not approved on the care label.
Store clean and dry. Replace garments when fit, fabric condition, closures, visibility features or presentation no longer meet the role requirement.
Real World Applications
Australian organisations use products of this type for events, staff accessories, branded merchandise and promotional campaigns. Confirm the supplied colours, sizes and specifications against each role before rollout.

Samples & Returns
At Uniforms.com.au, we understand the importance of seeing and feeling a product before committing to a larger order. While we’d love to send out free samples to everyone, here’s why we can’t: All garments are dispatched as brand new, and we follow strict quality and hygiene protocols that prevent us from reusing or reselling returned items. There are also significant costs associated with:
- Samples not being returned.
- Items returned in unsatisfactory condition.
- Time spent processing, dispatching, and following up on samples.
- Supplier restocking fees and administration.
Here's How Our Sample Process Works:
- All samples must be purchased upfront and are charged at the listed price plus any applicable delivery fees.
- Samples cannot be sent out unpaid or on approval.
- If you proceed with a bulk order (50+ units of the sampled style), we’re often happy to credit the sample cost back – just ask our team when ordering. Limit of 1 item.
- Samples can be returned to us for decoration if required.
Returning Samples:
- Should you require to send back samples, by law we do not have to accept them but we can. Please note that the garments must be repacked and retagged exactly as we received otherwise the return can not be accepted.
- Reutrn Freight charges are at customers cost.
- Samples must be returned within 7 days of receiving them.
- Samples returned will recieve a store credit only and not a refund.
- A Return Processing Fee and Restocking Fee of $30 or 10% of the order (which ever is greater) will be charged. This is oncharged to us by the logisitics company that processes all returns.
Please note that we have added size charts to every product as well as a Australian First "Fitting Room" so that you can upload a picture of yourself and try on the garments digitally.

InHouse Branding Experts
With over 30 years experience in the uniform & merchandise industry, we know from "experience" what form of branding works best with what type of products.
Trust the company trusted by over 23,000 Australians to take your brand to the next level and elevate you above your competitors.

Put Your Brand on Their Head — And in Everyone’s Sight
Headwear is one of the most powerful yet underrated tools for brand exposure. Unlike many other uniform items, caps and hats sit at eye level — making your logo instantly visible in conversations, on job sites, at events, and in everyday public settings.
Every time your team steps outside, they become a walking billboard, creating repeated impressions that build familiarity and trust with your brand.
Branded headwear also travels further than most uniforms. Caps are often worn beyond work hours — to the gym, the shops, weekend sport, or social events — extending your brand’s reach well past the workplace.
Beyond visibility, headwear creates unity and professionalism. A well-designed cap or hat completes a uniform, reinforces team identity, and signals credibility to customers. When your team looks consistent and confident, your brand feels established and trustworthy — and that perception is priceless in competitive markets.

Small Gift. Big Impact. Maximum Brand Return.
Headwear is one of the most cost-effective promotional products you can offer — yet it delivers outsized impact.
For a relatively low investment per unit, you can reward loyal customers with something practical, wearable, and genuinely appreciated. Unlike many giveaway items that get discarded, a quality cap or hat has real perceived value, making it far more likely to be kept and worn repeatedly.
Because headwear is functional and versatile, customers don’t see it as “just another promo item.” They wear it to events, on weekends, at sporting games, and on holidays — giving your brand ongoing exposure long after the initial interaction. Each wear creates new impressions, turning a simple thank-you gift into a mobile advertisement that keeps working for you.
Best of all, branded headwear feels generous without stretching your budget. It allows you to reward customers, celebrate milestones, or support promotions while maintaining strong margins. It’s a smart, scalable way to build loyalty, increase brand visibility, and leave a lasting impression — all for very little cost.
FAQs
Please read our FAQs page to find out more.
How long has Uniforms.com.au been in business?
We started last century! 1999 to be exact. We are still the same family owned and operated and have made life long friends that were once new customers.
Do you outsource your embroidery & printing?
We are one of the very few uniform businesses in this country that have actually invested in to our own embroidery and print machines.
By keeping your branding in house, we are able to produce high quality merchandise with quicker time lines.
Are you Australian based?
100% owned and operated right here in Australia. We service the entire country as well as New Zealand and overseas customers from our factory in Australia.
What if I can't find what I am looking for on your site?
Our online store displays all our biggest selling and most popular products. Chances are that if you have a unique request not displayed on the site, we possibly still have it!
We continually add products daily to the site to keep it up to date but by all means, start a live chat with us if you can not find what you are looking for. We are here to help.
What artwork file format do you need?
For Embroidery, we can operate with any file.
For Printing, we prefer vector files such as EPS or PDF.
Vector artwork ensures clean, sharp branding and accurate reproduction across embroidery and printing.
What is stitch count and how does it affect price?
Stitch count refers to the number of stitches used in an embroidered logo.
Higher stitch counts mean more detail and higher production time, which increases cost. Simple logos are more cost-effective, while detailed designs cost more.
What is the difference between embroidery and screen printing?
Embroidery is a premium, highly durable option ideal for polos, shirts, and jackets.
Screen printing is best for large, colourful designs and high-volume orders, offering excellent visual impact at a lower cost per unit.
How do I determine the right size for my staff?
We recommend using half-chest measurements, which are the most accurate way to size uniforms consistently across brands and styles.
This method reduces sizing errors and ensures a better fit than relying on generic S-XL sizing alone.
Can we mix and match uniform styles but still look cohesive?
Yes — mixing styles works well when there is consistency in colour, branding, and fit.
Using the same logo placement, colour palette, and garment category ensures a unified, professional appearance while giving staff flexibility.
How often should uniforms be replaced?
Uniforms should be reviewed every 12–18 months.
Replacement timing depends on job role, wash frequency, and brand standards. Regular reviews help maintain a consistent, professional image and ensure staff comfort and safety.
What is the best fabric for daily wear and workplace durability?
The best fabrics for everyday workwear are breathable, durable fabric blends, such as cotton-polyester combinations.
These blends offer comfort, strength, colour retention, and reduced shrinkage, making them ideal for long shifts, frequent washing, and physically demanding workplaces.
How many uniforms should each staff member have?
We recommend 3–5 uniform sets per staff member.
This allows for daily wear, washing cycles, and unexpected spills or damage while maintaining a professional appearance at all times. Having multiple sets also extends the lifespan of each garment and reduces last-minute uniform stress for your team.
Do you offer bulk discounts?
Yes — bulk discounts are available.
Larger orders reduce unit costs, making bulk purchasing the most economical option for growing teams.
How long does it take for my order to be delivered?
Typical timelines are:
3–5 working days for standard printing
10–15 working days for custom embroidery or larger orders
Delivery times may vary based on stock availability and order complexity.
We are a large business, are you able to assist with our unique needs?
Absolutely! We have serviced some of Australia's most well known brands throughout this great country. Reach out to us and let us show you how we can streamline your uniform ordering process.
How should I care for printed or embroidered garments?
To maximise garment life:
Wash inside out
Use cold or cool water
Avoid tumble drying
Do not iron directly over prints
Proper care preserves colour, shape, and branding.
Are there eco-friendly or sustainable promotional products?
Yes — we offer a wide range of eco-friendly and sustainable promotional products, including recycled, reusable, and biodegradable options.
What are the most effective promotional products?
Popular and effective promotional items include pens, mugs, bags, and drink tumblers.
These products offer high visibility, daily use, and strong brand recall.
