Product Description
The Fully Sublimated Custom Beanie That Puts Your Full-Colour Design Across the Entire Garment — Not Just a Small Embroidered Patch
Every Sports Club Manager, Corporate Brand Manager, and Event Coordinator ordering custom beanies for their team faces the same problem: standard embroidered beanies limit your design to a small logo on a plain background — which means your brand colours, gradients, patterns, and full artwork simply can't be reproduced accurately on the garment.
A beanie that can only show a small embroidered logo on a stock-colour background isn't a branded product — it's a generic beanie with a badge on it.
At Uniforms.com.au, we've been supplying Australian teams, clubs, and organisations with custom branded headwear since 1999 — from sporting clubs and corporate teams to schools, events, and community organisations.
Our Sublimated Beanie is our answer: a stretchy knit, double-layered, moisture-wicking beanie with reinforced stitching and a one-size-fits-most construction — engineered to carry your full-colour design across the entire surface of the garment, with no colour limitations, no minimum colour charges, and no compromise on your artwork.
Start from one of our design templates, or supply your own artwork from scratch. Your design. Your colours. Your beanie.
Why Australian Teams and Organisations Choose Sublimated Beanies From Uniforms.com.au
Full-Colour All-Over Sublimation Print — No Colour Limitations, No Embroidery Constraints — Your Complete Artwork Reproduced Across the Entire Beanie
Sublimation printing bonds your design directly into the fabric fibres — not on top of them — allowing full-colour gradients, photographic imagery, complex patterns, and multi-colour team designs to be reproduced across the entire surface of the beanie with no colour count limitations and no minimum colour charges. This is the fundamental difference between a sublimated beanie and an embroidered one.
High-Quality Stretchy Knit Fabric — One Size Fits Most — Comfortable, Secure Fit Across a Wide Range of Head Sizes
The stretchy knit construction provides a comfortable, secure fit across a wide range of head sizes without the need for multiple size variants — simplifying ordering for teams and organisations and eliminating the sizing complexity of structured headwear.
Double-Layered Construction — Extra Warmth Without Extra Bulk — Suitable for Cold-Weather Outdoor Events, Winter Sport, and Outdoor Work
The double-layered construction traps warm air between the layers, providing genuine cold-weather warmth without the bulk of a heavy knit beanie — making it suitable for winter sport, outdoor events, cold-weather work environments, and everyday cold-weather wear.
Moisture-Wicking and Quick-Dry Fabric — Manages Perspiration During Active Use — Stays Comfortable Through Sport, Training, and Active Outdoor Wear
The moisture-wicking and quick-dry fabric construction draws perspiration away from the skin and promotes evaporation — keeping wearers comfortable during active sport, training sessions, and outdoor work where a standard knit beanie would become damp and uncomfortable.
Reinforced Stitching — Structural Integrity Through Repeated Wear and Washing — Long-Term Durability for Team and Workwear Programs
Reinforced stitching at stress points ensures the beanie maintains its shape and structural integrity through repeated wear and washing — delivering long-term value for sporting clubs, corporate teams, and workwear programs where beanies are worn regularly across a full season or year.
Sublimated Beanie vs. Embroidered Beanie — Which Is Right for Your Team?

Real-World Use Case
Picture a Brisbane-based junior AFL club with 180 registered players across under-8s through to under-18s, looking for a branded beanie for their annual winter fundraising merchandise drive.
Their previous merchandise beanies had been plain navy stock beanies with the club logo embroidered on the front — functional, but not exciting enough to drive strong merchandise sales, and unable to reproduce the club's full gradient logo or the red, blue, and gold colour combination accurately in embroidery thread.
They ordered sublimated beanies through Uniforms.com.au with the club's full-colour gradient logo across the front panel, the club's red and blue colour combination across the body, and gold trim detailing — a design that simply couldn't be achieved with embroidery.
The result: a merchandise item that players and families actually wanted to buy, a fundraising drive that exceeded its target, and a club that now has a branded beanie that genuinely represents their colours and identity rather than a generic navy beanie with a badge on it.
That's the Uniforms.com.au difference — and it's what 25+ years of supplying Australian sporting clubs and organisations looks like in practice.
CEO FAQ — Answers for Team and Organisation Buyers
Q: What is the difference between sublimation printing and embroidery on a beanie?
A: Sublimation printing bonds your design directly into the fabric fibres, allowing full-colour gradients, photographic imagery, and complex multi-colour designs to be reproduced across the entire surface of the beanie with no colour count limitations. Embroidery is limited to a small logo area, a restricted number of thread colours, and cannot reproduce gradients or fine photographic detail. If your design involves multiple colours, gradients, or full-coverage artwork, sublimation is the correct method.
Q: Can I supply my own artwork, or do I need to use a template?
A: Both options are available. You can supply your own artwork in high-resolution vector or raster format, or start from one of our design templates and customise from there. Our team can assist with artwork preparation and design guidance to ensure your design reproduces correctly on the sublimated beanie.
Q: What is the minimum order quantity for sublimated beanies?
A: Custom sublimated beanies are produced to order. Contact our team for current minimum order quantities, production lead times, and pricing for your specific order volume. Pricing decreases as order volume increases.
Q: Are sublimated beanies suitable for outdoor sport and cold-weather work?
A: Yes. The double-layered construction provides genuine cold-weather warmth, and the moisture-wicking, quick-dry fabric manages perspiration during active sport and outdoor work. The one-size-fits-most stretchy knit construction provides a comfortable, secure fit across a wide range of head sizes.
Q: Can I order sublimated beanies for a school or sporting club?
A: Yes. Sublimated beanies are one of the most popular custom headwear options for Australian sporting clubs, schools, and community organisations. They allow full reproduction of school colours, club colours, crests, and complex team designs that cannot be achieved with embroidery. Contact our team to discuss your specific design requirements and order volume.
Q: Do you offer bulk discounts for large orders?
A: Yes. The more you buy, the greater the discount. Contact our team for a tailored quote based on your specific order volume and design requirements.
Q: Can I order a sample before committing to a full order?
A: Yes. We have a structured Samples Ordering Process in place. Please see the Samples section below for full details on how to request a sample before placing your bulk order.

InHouse Branding Experts
With over 30 years experience in the uniform & merchandise industry, we know from "experience" what form of branding works best with what type of products.
Trust the company trusted by over 23,000 Australians to take your brand to the next level and elevate you above your competitors.

Put Your Brand on Their Head — And in Everyone’s Sight
Headwear is one of the most powerful yet underrated tools for brand exposure. Unlike many other uniform items, caps and hats sit at eye level — making your logo instantly visible in conversations, on job sites, at events, and in everyday public settings.
Every time your team steps outside, they become a walking billboard, creating repeated impressions that build familiarity and trust with your brand.
Branded headwear also travels further than most uniforms. Caps are often worn beyond work hours — to the gym, the shops, weekend sport, or social events — extending your brand’s reach well past the workplace.
Beyond visibility, headwear creates unity and professionalism. A well-designed cap or hat completes a uniform, reinforces team identity, and signals credibility to customers. When your team looks consistent and confident, your brand feels established and trustworthy — and that perception is priceless in competitive markets.

Small Gift. Big Impact. Maximum Brand Return.
Headwear is one of the most cost-effective promotional products you can offer — yet it delivers outsized impact.
For a relatively low investment per unit, you can reward loyal customers with something practical, wearable, and genuinely appreciated. Unlike many giveaway items that get discarded, a quality cap or hat has real perceived value, making it far more likely to be kept and worn repeatedly.
Because headwear is functional and versatile, customers don’t see it as “just another promo item.” They wear it to events, on weekends, at sporting games, and on holidays — giving your brand ongoing exposure long after the initial interaction. Each wear creates new impressions, turning a simple thank-you gift into a mobile advertisement that keeps working for you.
Best of all, branded headwear feels generous without stretching your budget. It allows you to reward customers, celebrate milestones, or support promotions while maintaining strong margins. It’s a smart, scalable way to build loyalty, increase brand visibility, and leave a lasting impression — all for very little cost.
FAQs
Please read our FAQs page to find out more.
How long has Uniforms.com.au been in business?
We started last century! 1999 to be exact. We are still the same family owned and operated and have made life long friends that were once new customers.
Do you outsource your embroidery & printing?
We are one of the very few uniform businesses in this country that have actually invested in to our own embroidery and print machines.
By keeping your branding in house, we are able to produce high quality merchandise with quicker time lines.
Are you Australian based?
100% owned and operated right here in Australia. We service the entire country as well as New Zealand and overseas customers from our factory in Australia.
What if I can't find what I am looking for on your site?
Our online store displays all our biggest selling and most popular products. Chances are that if you have a unique request not displayed on the site, we possibly still have it!
We continually add products daily to the site to keep it up to date but by all means, start a live chat with us if you can not find what you are looking for. We are here to help.
What artwork file format do you need?
For Embroidery, we can operate with any file.
For Printing, we prefer vector files such as EPS or PDF.
Vector artwork ensures clean, sharp branding and accurate reproduction across embroidery and printing.
What is stitch count and how does it affect price?
Stitch count refers to the number of stitches used in an embroidered logo.
Higher stitch counts mean more detail and higher production time, which increases cost. Simple logos are more cost-effective, while detailed designs cost more.
What is the difference between embroidery and screen printing?
Embroidery is a premium, highly durable option ideal for polos, shirts, and jackets.
Screen printing is best for large, colourful designs and high-volume orders, offering excellent visual impact at a lower cost per unit.
How do I determine the right size for my staff?
We recommend using half-chest measurements, which are the most accurate way to size uniforms consistently across brands and styles.
This method reduces sizing errors and ensures a better fit than relying on generic S-XL sizing alone.
Can we mix and match uniform styles but still look cohesive?
Yes — mixing styles works well when there is consistency in colour, branding, and fit.
Using the same logo placement, colour palette, and garment category ensures a unified, professional appearance while giving staff flexibility.
How often should uniforms be replaced?
Uniforms should be reviewed every 12–18 months.
Replacement timing depends on job role, wash frequency, and brand standards. Regular reviews help maintain a consistent, professional image and ensure staff comfort and safety.
What is the best fabric for daily wear and workplace durability?
The best fabrics for everyday workwear are breathable, durable fabric blends, such as cotton-polyester combinations.
These blends offer comfort, strength, colour retention, and reduced shrinkage, making them ideal for long shifts, frequent washing, and physically demanding workplaces.
How many uniforms should each staff member have?
We recommend 3–5 uniform sets per staff member.
This allows for daily wear, washing cycles, and unexpected spills or damage while maintaining a professional appearance at all times. Having multiple sets also extends the lifespan of each garment and reduces last-minute uniform stress for your team.
Do you offer bulk discounts?
Yes — bulk discounts are available.
Larger orders reduce unit costs, making bulk purchasing the most economical option for growing teams.
How long does it take for my order to be delivered?
Typical timelines are:
3–5 working days for standard printing
10–15 working days for custom embroidery or larger orders
Delivery times may vary based on stock availability and order complexity.
We are a large business, are you able to assist with our unique needs?
Absolutely! We have serviced some of Australia's most well known brands throughout this great country. Reach out to us and let us show you how we can streamline your uniform ordering process.
How should I care for printed or embroidered garments?
To maximise garment life:
Wash inside out
Use cold or cool water
Avoid tumble drying
Do not iron directly over prints
Proper care preserves colour, shape, and branding.
Are there eco-friendly or sustainable promotional products?
Yes — we offer a wide range of eco-friendly and sustainable promotional products, including recycled, reusable, and biodegradable options.
What are the most effective promotional products?
Popular and effective promotional items include pens, mugs, bags, and drink tumblers.
These products offer high visibility, daily use, and strong brand recall.
